There was a time my 2017 R1200 stalled on a long trip, I think about 3 days, I had gone about 15 miles already and it took a while for me to get it to start but it still wasn't running at full potential. I sought help and found out the control valve was faulty, so if anyone out there encounters a similar problem, it could be a good place to start
