How to remove the center stand

I'm going to participate in the VIR for the first time and need to take the center stand off my 2025 R1200GS. I don't like to go to the dealer just to do this. I'm sure I can do it myself.
What Thorx size is needed to remove the two connecting pins and bolts?
Please give me tips or step by step tutorial about removing the C-stand.

You will need a T50 Torx bit for the connecting pins and bolts. Support the stand while losening the bolts to avoid sudden shifts and keep the springs compressed w/ a ziptie or similar tool for easier handling. Let me know if you need more help.

Are you planning to reinstall the center stand after VIR or keeping it off for good?

the easiest ways is to use a spring removal tool for the springs and then the appropriate Allen key or socket wrench for the pivot bolts. after than, you can take it off

My question too. Is this a permanent thing or just for the VIR? The center stand is quite useful for travels and for repairs so I don't know if it would be "healthy" or at least ok to remove it COMPLETELY.
