I'm planning on tackling the fork oil change on a used 2018 R1200GS I picked up a few months back. The telelever front end is a bit different, and I want to make sure I'm not missing any specific quirks or common mistakes. For those who have done this on a newer model with the semi-active suspension, did you find any special tools were needed? Also, what weight oil did you use and how much? I'm debating between staying with the OEM recommended weight or going slightly thicker to firm it up a bit. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
