I’m going on my first motorcycle tour next weekend, I wonder what I should carry as an EDC (my friend called it “a man’s bag” haha). besides gear, I know I should bring waterproofs, first aid kit, tools, tyre plugs, zipties, anything else I should add guys?

Well you have the basics, but don't forget duct tape, a power bank, spare fuses, a headlamp, multitool, and cash and.... for the love of torque, pack your bike key spare somewhere safe, you'll thank me

You've pretty much covered the essentials, I'd maybe add a microfiber cloth for your visor, a small notepad and pen (you never know), and something comforting like a book, or even just some music downloaded offline, long rides can get quiet in a strange way and stay safe out there.

The first is always the best and the worst, I just had a bit of a flash back lol! Besides all thats been mentioned, a rain cover for your stuff and an offline map or GPS can really save you. Keep it simple but prepared!

Yeah, first times are the best. And things like rain covers and maps you can use offline are super handy when you're traveling.

You never forget your first time, guess it goes for many other things apart from the obivous one :)

Anyway, you got some good list and the tips here are also pretty good. I would add a flashlight, gloves, chain lube, ziplock bags, tire pressure gauge, emergency whistle. These are the ones I can think of the others didn't mention. I hope te guy after me expands the list. And have fun!
