I cant seem to assemble back the fuel cap of my R1200 that I took apart because I was trying to get to some rust in the locking mechanism. I was able to lubricate and clean but now I need help putting it back in the right way, its like I've forgotten how I took it apart. If anyone has knowledge on this can walk me through

Let me give you a quick guide-through. You gotta prepare your cap, locking cylinder, latch, screws (ALL OF THEM) and the spring also before you do it and make sure there's a tiny screwdriver in handy. Align the locking mechanism with the cylinder then test if the key turns ok. Then position the spring properly (to check this you needa check the latch), then align the cap to the tank mounting ring, screw it in place (Do not screw it up). Then do a test drive. That's just about it nothing too heavy tbh.
