Failing Clutch Switch...I guess

I think my clutch switch is failing because the bike starts fine in neutral, but if I try starting it in gear with the clutch pulled in... nothing and then the cruise control is also acting up, which I've heard can be tied to the switch too.
Who has experienced this before? and is it usually the switch itself, or the wiring that go out first and also should I replace it upfront or cleani it?
Any tips would be appreciated please

Wendy, here

If your bike starts up in neutral but just won't budge when you're in gear with the clutch pulled, that's a classic sign. This can even mess with your cruise control, which is super frustrating. First things first go ahead and check the wiring. Sometimes, a bit of cleaning does wonders. However, be prepared, it might end up needing a replacement. By the way have you had a chance to test the switch yet?

Hey Wendy! Yeah thats a common problem. Clutch switches don't last forever and can start acting up like that, better to replace now to prevent other issues

If a tiny, failure-prone clutch switch can disable both starting and cruise control, why are manufacturers still relying on such fragile components instead of designing more robust, sealed systems especially on modern bikes?
