Dashboard display issues

My 2011 R1200 RT only has 40k miles so I'd say it's still relatively fresh for its age, but today my dashboard is malfunctioning and it's bothering me so much. When I turn the bike on, I'd have to wait 1 minute before the display turns on. It's not simultaneous anymore. There are times it runs immediately but then switches off like a blink. I was told by my dealer that there's nothing they can do about it since the piece is old already. Any other suggestions you got for me? I'm sure there's still something out there.

man, the dealer gave up too easy. Let's see what other options are out there for that dash

I say look for any blown fuses, check the connections to the dashboard if anything looks loose or corroded. if you can't see any issues, get a different mechanic who can take a look

Failing display or power issue, my assessment based on your post. Check wirings and connections for corrosion or looseness for starters. If the dealer cant or wont help (not new), try used or refurbished clusters or specialty BMW shops for repairs

Yeah, I agree with the suggestions above. and that bike still got plenty of life left! Have you tried swapping out the battery just in case it's voltage related? Might be worth a shot before giving up on it!
