Anyone else had this on their '18 RS? so lately downshifting from 2nd to 1st sometimes kicks me into neutral even though I slam the shifter all the way down. I gotta jiggle it between gears, I think it needs an adjustment or calibration maybe?

I think it might need an adjustment especially if you're having trouble with downshifting, I'd recommend getting the shifter or linkage checked to see if it's out of alignment or needs calibration

If it's not addressed soon, it could lead to further transmission wear or even more serious shifting issues down the line

Yeah thanks, I'll have the shifter and linkage checked for alignment and calibration

My old '16 RS did the same thing, but it usually happened when the shifter cable bushings were worn out or if the clutch cable needed some tweaking. I've also heard of people with a similar problem discovering that the shift drum stopper was to blame. You should definitely have that linkage checked out before it ends up damaging something pricey.

Yep, I agree. Bushings that are worn out and problems with the linkage usually bring about these kinds of issues. It's a good idea to check them out early on.
