2008 r1200 acting abnormal

Something strange is happening with my r1200. It doesn't start on temperature below 50 Fahrenheit, but when it gets warmer it starts right away. Does anyone have this kind of issue? I'm totally confused and don't know what the problem is. Any help is appreciated.

if it hesitant to start in colder weather it means you're having a problem with the battery or the throttle position sensor. If you're willing to drop a couple of hundred dollars you can replace both and see if that fixes your problem

Sounds like your bike has the cold weather blues!
but one thing comes to mind, it's possible this is caused by a weak battery so try to get it tested

Yeah, could be the gas system acting weird in the cold. Like maybe a sensor is giving the wrong info when it's chilly, or there's a little clog that loosens up when things get warmer. That fuel pressure regulator or even the pump itself might be the troublemakers

yeah, dropping a couple of hundred dollars is a solution, but there's no guarantee it will work. I would first try to find the problem without replacing half of the bike

I think it's a common issue. But yeah I agree with @Brokeracer1 it's not worth spending so much without being sure. So again, might be useful to have an OBD scanner or something.
