Faulty Driveshaft

I've got an '09 R1200RT and recently there has been a faint clunk when rolling off the throttle, I see it more at lower speeds, checked the splines already, bit of wear, nothing catastrophic but now I'm wondering if the driveshaft itself might be on its way out.
If anyone here has or knows how to deal with a failing drive shaft please I'd appreciate your suggestions or advice

Your driveshaft might be the culprit, especially with that clunk at low speeds, check for any play or noise in the U-joints too

That could mean your driveshaft is wearing out, especially with some spline wear already. Definitely get it checked for any play or cracks, and dont forget the center bearing. If it's going bad, better to swap it sooner before it causes bigger problems. Any shakes or noises when you're going faster?
